Korean Cuisine again.....10th May 2008

The first time I visited this Korean restaurant was two months back. I was brought there by Yee Yen who kind of a 'local snake'. Then, I went to Senai Korean Cuisine again last Saturday but this time with Mei Ting.

Yam Sheng....Cheers, these two cups look like Charlsberg huh...hahahhaha (just tea!)

These are the appetizers. A total of 14 dishes! They look very delicious, aren't they?

Let's tuck in.

This is how she looks like in front of the korean food. :)

这间韩国餐厅的食物如何呢? 我们都觉得还不错啦. 不信你看看这照片! 哈哈...

A Raining Day….. & ….An Unforgettable Night!

This morning, my girl friend has an appointment with her friends in Singapore to have a look at the room that she is going to rent. Unfortunately, I was not able to go with her because I did not have transport. However, I managed to send her to take a public bus. That was fine! Later in the morning, my ex-course-mate rang me to drive his car to his new bought house. That was nothing big deal so I just said ok. Then, after taking my lunch, I drove my housemate’s motorcycle and he drove the car. Now the story begins….. Both of us were not sure and did not know exactly where the place was. (my course mate briefly told me how to get there) However, we set off happily. Hahahha….who knows, we both lost in Bukit Indah (a new residential area)! Sigh! Finally, I managed to reach the place before the heavy rain poured down. What an adventure because I went to two different areas before reaching to the right place. As for my housemate, we did not manage to reach him as he forgot to bring along his mobile! He then went back home to get his mobile because he failed to find the place too. My friend’s new bought house in Bukit Indah 2 is still under renovation. The porch area was scattered with many construction materials. I parked the motorcycle there anyway. That was ok, because the story has not finished yet.

At night, I was supposed to see my girl friend off to Tmn Puteri to take the long-hour night bus. She kept saying that ‘I wish I dun have to go back’. Wow, her wish almost came true! I drove my girl friend to take her bus with the motorcycle. To my surprise, the motorcycle that I was driving became unstable and then it was shaking and not able to move anymore. Oh my goodness! The rear tyre was punctured. That was great as there was about five minute before the scheduled time of the bus. I called my housemate for help. In the meantime we tried to catch a taxi. However, we failed to stop any of them. Perhaps it was late and the taxi drivers had off from work. It was 10 pm, and then my housemate finally came with another motorcycle. (That bike is special: no one knows how to start it and even drive it! Trust me, I tried to drive this morning and finally had to push it back home!) Thank goodness that my housemate managed to start the bike. He then helped me to bring my girl friend to the bus terminal. She did not get on the bus but the ticket seller kindly exchanged the ticket for the following bus. So, she managed to go home finally. As for me, I was waiting by the road side hoping that my housemate could find a ‘saver’. Well, about 20 minutes later, he came back with another two guys. What a relief! They successfully changed the tired and the reason why the tyre punctured was because of a 3 cm long (look like a needle) steel. My housemate told me that it could be from our friend’s porch. Anyway, that was not important anymore. The most important was to get the bike done and go home safely. The mechanics charged us RM 35 for the service and the change of the inner tube. My housemate said that was expensive. Anyway, it was late at night and someone was willing to come to fix the bike, I would say it is worth to pay them that price.

It was an unforgettable night. However, we were home safely and my girl friend managed to get on a bus. Everything is fine now.

Hurray, SAMAN dibatalkan

I went to the UTM security office to appeal for the fine exemption, but the Pengarah was not in. I was told to come back today. So, this morning, as told, i went to the office again. The Pengarah's assistant asked me to leave my contact and she will contact me when the Pengarah is in. So i did.

Wow, today is friday (Waktu sembahyang dari 12 noon to 3pm), at about 2.40 pm, the lady called me to meet the Pengarah. Unfortunately, it was suddenly rainning. I went out with motorcycle. I met the Pengarah and he talk quite alot, explaining how tough his men work and patrol in the UTM..... I just say 'ya ya yes'. Anyway, he approved to cancel the fine. Thank him alot. He is a nice guy actually. :)

Hurray...
Ooops, the motorbike I am using now also without UTM sticker, I will buy it on Monday.

Kereta kena SAMAN oleh UTM

What a bad day! I drove my friend's kancil to uni as it was raining in the morning. During lunch time, when i approahed the car, I discovered a piece of white paper being clipped by the car's wiper. Guess what, they (UTM security) fined me for parking illegally and the car without UTM sticker! It's not my car mah!!!! I am an UTM staff, so i am eligible to park in the staff parking lot. Yeah, no sticker, so they dunno my status.....

My shipping from London has finally arrived!

Hurray, when I was first stepped in my house, Bank's brother told me that I have two boxes arrived this afternoon. Finally, the two boxes shipped from London have arrived here well in Skudai Johor. (Shipped by ShippingtoMalaysia)

Actually, there is nothing precious in the boxes, yet when you received something after a long time (though I packed and shipped them by myself), i feel like receiving a present and open the boxes happily! hahahha, however, ended up with tiredness unpacking all stuff!! :p

Today, YY came to find me in Skudai. We went to Jusco as it is the most convenient place to park cars! We had Ayamas for the lunch and we chatted and shopped for some facial cleanser.

Been sick for a week...

I have been feeling unwell since Christmast day. Sorethroat, cough and fever....
Yesterday, i went to clinic again to get some medicine as my condition has not improved. 31st December 2007 is the first day of second semester at UTM, there are many students walking around the faculty. They even made noise outside my room. Hmm, kind of not getting used with it as i have been staying in the room quietly since November (semester break). It is the first week of the semester, I am still waiting for the schedule and tasks assingned for me. I was told that I will be responsible for some laboratory supervisions. However, till now, nothing has come up yet. I hope its not going to be a last minute notice and there is no time for me to do the preparation! Looking at the emailing, 3rd year and 1st Lab start next week! When do I get to know which Lab I should go?

I was chatting with my friends on the internet and we counted down in the chatroom, hahahha..

(Taken on the peak of Jungfrau, Switzerland (Peak of Europe), 8th October 2007.)

It has been quite a while since the last time I posted the Barcelona trip pictures here. What have I been busying recently? Well, I guess I was struggling with my thesis correction and hope for submitting it as soon as possible. I kind of loosing my motivation to continue my thesis as there are so many things to be corrected. Anyway, what must be done I must do! hehehe...

I am back to FKE UTM as a tutor. The new term will start on 31 December 2007, and then I will be assinged with several lab supervisions. Until I successfully being awarded with PhD degree, only then I will be promoted as a lecturer and teaching/lecturing will start to take place.

This is the panoramic view of UTM Skudai campus, taken from the peak of Balai Cerapan. (went there with my housemates. I think I came here more than four years ago...:) )

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, UTM

I will be on vacation starting tomorrow. I will take the night bus tonight travelling back to my hometown. I am not sure that I can still get used with the long hours journey (10 hours approximately from JB to Kedah). However, I am very excited to go home because ever since i came back to Malaysia from London last month, I am in Skudai all the way. Giving the excuse that I wont do my thesis if i have had gone home at the very beginning. Well, I have not finished all the chapters yet, i think i have done most of it. :p Now, I would just 'pray' that my boss will say 'yes' prior to submission.

Christmast is just around the corner. Hope everyone is enjoying!

December: there is two wedding dinner to attend, one on tomorrow night and another on Christmast night...wow...killing my pocket ah...hahaha.. I congratulate both my secondary classmates, wishing them happy forever. Congratulations!

Until the next post, have a nice day everyone!

cheers,

Gaudi's design and museum....

Gaudí lived with his niece from 1906 to 1926 in this pink, Alice-in-Wonderland house, now a house museum.

PARK GÜELL -- Gaudi's Park... lizardsssss

Designed by Antoni Gaudí i Cornet and built from 1900 to 1914.The assignment of this project was made by the count of Güell as an aristocratic city-garden with single-family residences. The project finally wasn't a success and consequently it became a municipality property and since 1923 being transformed in a public park. The main gateway show two administrative pavilions made in stone, roofs of Catalan vaults and covered of "trencadis" (surfaces covered with irregular ceramic pieces) who is also profusely present in the park and also in other Gaudí works and Art Nouveau architecture. Both roofs of that pavilions are crowned by original domes remembering mushrooms, the left building show a stylized tower with the Gaudí typical four branches cross.

La Sagrada Família (Catalan, 'The Holy Family') is a massive Roman Catholic basilica under construction in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Construction began in 1882 and its formal title is Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família. Originally designed by Antoni Gaudí (1852 – 1926), who worked on the project for over 40 years, devoting the last 15 years of his life entirely to the endeavor, the project is scheduled to be completed in 2026. On the subject of the extremely long construction period, Gaudí is said to have remarked, "My client is not in a hurry." After Gaudí's death in 1926, work continued under the direction of Domènech Sugranyes until interrupted by the Spanish Civil War in 1935.
