This morning, my girl friend has an appointment with her friends in Singapore to have a look at the room that she is going to rent. Unfortunately, I was not able to go with her because I did not have transport. However, I managed to send her to take a public bus. That was fine! Later in the morning, my ex-course-mate rang me to drive his car to his new bought house. That was nothing big deal so I just said ok. Then, after taking my lunch, I drove my housemate’s motorcycle and he drove the car. Now the story begins….. Both of us were not sure and did not know exactly where the place was. (my course mate briefly told me how to get there) However, we set off happily. Hahahha….who knows, we both lost in Bukit Indah (a new residential area)! Sigh! Finally, I managed to reach the place before the heavy rain poured down. What an adventure because I went to two different areas before reaching to the right place. As for my housemate, we did not manage to reach him as he forgot to bring along his mobile! He then went back home to get his mobile because he failed to find the place too. My friend’s new bought house in Bukit Indah 2 is still under renovation. The porch area was scattered with many construction materials. I parked the motorcycle there anyway. That was ok, because the story has not finished yet.
At night, I was supposed to see my girl friend off to Tmn Puteri to take the long-hour night bus. She kept saying that ‘I wish I dun have to go back’. Wow, her wish almost came true! I drove my girl friend to take her bus with the motorcycle. To my surprise, the motorcycle that I was driving became unstable and then it was shaking and not able to move anymore. Oh my goodness! The rear tyre was punctured. That was great as there was about five minute before the scheduled time of the bus. I called my housemate for help. In the meantime we tried to catch a taxi. However, we failed to stop any of them. Perhaps it was late and the taxi drivers had off from work. It was 10 pm, and then my housemate finally came with another motorcycle. (That bike is special: no one knows how to start it and even drive it! Trust me, I tried to drive this morning and finally had to push it back home!) Thank goodness that my housemate managed to start the bike. He then helped me to bring my girl friend to the bus terminal. She did not get on the bus but the ticket seller kindly exchanged the ticket for the following bus. So, she managed to go home finally. As for me, I was waiting by the road side hoping that my housemate could find a ‘saver’. Well, about 20 minutes later, he came back with another two guys. What a relief! They successfully changed the tired and the reason why the tyre punctured was because of a 3 cm long (look like a needle) steel. My housemate told me that it could be from our friend’s porch. Anyway, that was not important anymore. The most important was to get the bike done and go home safely. The mechanics charged us RM 35 for the service and the change of the inner tube. My housemate said that was expensive. Anyway, it was late at night and someone was willing to come to fix the bike, I would say it is worth to pay them that price.
It was an unforgettable night. However, we were home safely and my girl friend managed to get on a bus. Everything is fine now.
